The DUO's Story

How It All Started

Before our dad found his passion as an auto mechanic, he worked as an IT technician. We remember him bringing home a laptop in 1996, running Windows 3.1 with minimal apps, but it was still incredibly cool! In 1999, when that laptop finally gave out, we went to Circuit City in Baton Rouge to pick out a new computer. It was a Compaq desktop running Windows 98 SE, complete with a few games, and we were just enamored with this new piece of tech. Then, around 2001, Wi-Fi hit the market, and we were fascinated that internet data could be transferred wirelessly - this was the moment we truly fell in love with technology. Building on those early memories, we grew more interested in the tech world as we saw the rapid advancements in computing. Over time, we both realized how much we loved working with technology and helping others navigate it, which eventually led to the decision to start Pillar of Cloud IT Solutions.

The Spark of Pillar of Cloud IT Solutions 

Our company name, "Pillar of Cloud IT Solutions" is rooted in sacred scripture from Exodus 13:21 - "The LORD went in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day, to lead them along the way, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light, so that they might travel by day and by night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people." We believe that day or night, the Lord is always here leading us whether we know it or not. 

Between the two of us, we have had over two decades of experience in technology and audio/video setups. Our passion for technology and AV began with our dad - we have always been fascinated how technology has helped people. And working alongside our dad in various projects has instilled in us integrity, humility, discipline, and craftsmanship.
